Offline Memories: Hong Kong LGBTQ+ Archive of Printed Matter from the Pre-Internet Era
Part of Offline Memories curated by Queer East, this evening brings together poetry, dialogue, and lecture performance in response to Hong Kong LGBTQ+ Printed Matters in the Pre-Internet Era archive.
Through live reading and a browser-based artwork, the programme reflects on queer memory, intimacy, and everyday life across 1990s and 2000s Hong Kong.
The first event (4:30-6pm) will feature poetry readings and dialogue responding to Hong Kong’s LGBTQ+ archive of pre-internet printed matter. We’ll have a short break for 15 minutes before returning for the second event (6:15-7:30pm) – a lecture performance by Dorothy, featuring a browser-based artwork/pixel game exploring lesbian lives in 1990s–2000s Hong Kong.
Tickets are free for both events and can be booked on Queer East’s website.
