London’s LGBTQ+ community is alive and kicking, but something is missing, and it has been for far too long. From Los Angeles to New York City, Zurich to Berlin, other world cities have open and accessible LGBTQ+ community centres - physical spaces run by and for LGBTQ+ people. We're setting out to build one for London.
Since 2017, LGBTQ+ people and an ever increasing number of supporters have been coming together to build something: a space to share stories from our history, to support each other in the present, and to make plans for the future too.
The Centre aims to be a completely accessible multi-purpose space, open from morning until night for individuals, the community, and campaigning groups. The space aims to serve as a cafe, meeting point, workspace, play space and social centre and aims to have facilities for performance, exhibition, information and outreach.
Join us on 18 April 2018 for a celebration and launch, with performances, speeches, a screening and music, to find out more.
This will be a ticketed (free) event, so please make sure to grab a ticket.
