SUMMARY:LGBTQ+ Morning Yoga
DESCRIPTION:An hour of yoga for LGBTQ+ people of all abilities\n\n\nJoin us for an hour of yoga at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre. \nYoga is held on Thursdays\, Fridays and Saturdays from 11am – 12pm. Please check eventbrite for any changes and ensure you have registered before attending. Yoga mats are provided but please bring your own if you wish. \nSessions are charged on a pay-what-you-can basis. DESCRIPTION:LGBTQIA+ and polyamory knowledgeable\, racially conscious\, sex-positive\, intersectional therapy with therapist\, Eunice Hung. \nEunice is a BACP registered integrative therapist\, offering a warm\, non-judgemental\, supportive and personalised approach. \nShe aims to help you explore and process any significant life issues\, traumatic history\, unwanted thoughts and beliefs\, and compulsive behaviours that are holding you back. Eunice provides an environment which is kink\, sexuality\, and consensual non-monogamy/polyamory positive\, and LGBTQIA+ friendly. \nShe’s committed to creating a space that’s welcoming to anyone from a marginalised identity\, especially those who are racially or culturally minoritised. \nEunice uses a combination of therapeutic strategies and specialises in working with people exploring Gender\, Sex(uality)\, and Relationship Diversity (GSRD) issues in a trauma-informed\, racially-aware context. DESCRIPTION:Queer Life Drawing Classes featuring LGBTQ+ models\, facilitated by Sophie Kathleen (they/them).\n\n\nQueer Drag Life Drawing Classes featuring LGBTQ+ models\, facilitated by Sophie Kathleen (they/them) and Matt David (they/them). \nBasic materials will be provided (such as paper\, clipboards\, pencils\, pastels etc.) but bringing your own is encouraged. \n\nWe will begin with an intro to the space and the model\nWe will explain the prompts/techniques to try\, give you some guidance and we’ll get into the creating!\nWe will have a short break mid way and also time for sharing and socialising at the end\nThe class is open to all abilities (even if you think you can’t draw – you CAN!) and our aim is to create a brave and vulnerable space for us to connect and enjoy the creative process together. \nFor more info or any questions please email Soph at sophiekathleenstevens@gmail.com.\n\nAbout the facilitators: \nSophie Kathleen (they/them) is a queer Illustrator/Artist based in Surrey\, whose vibrant and often political work focuses on their passion for LGBTQ+ empowerment and taboo-tackling subjects. \nThey use their art as activism and aim to highlight the need for inclusivity and queer representation. SUMMARY:Peer Support Group for Adenomyosis\, Endometriosis and/or PCOS
DESCRIPTION:Online peer support group for LGBTQ+ people to discuss their lived experiences of adenomyosis\, endometriosis and/or PCOS.\n\n\nAn online peer support group for LGBTQ+ people to discuss their lived experiences of adenomyosis\, endometriosis and/or polycystic ovary syndrome. \nThe session will start with a check-in followed by a facilitated open space to share experiences\, listen and discuss in solidarity with peers before closing with a check-out. \nGroup agreement: \n\nConfidentiality – what is said in the group\, stays in the group\n\n \n\nNo formal diagnosis needed – the group is inclusive of those undergoing investigations and/or awaiting diagnosis\n\n \n\nNo judgement in terms of how others navigate treatment\, management and employment\n\n \n\nTrans-inclusive healthcare is at the heart of the group’s ethos – being mindful that adenomyosis\, endo and PCOS do not exclusively affect cis women\n\n \n\nBeing understanding of period poverty and how income affects access to menstrual products\, means of pain management and treatment\n\n \n\nNo fatphobic language and/or discussion of numbers relating to weight (BMI\, calories\, body weight etc.)\n\n \n\nMembers are welcome to use hot water bottles\, heat packs\, TENS machines etc on the call – there’s no need to hide them!\nDisclaimer: \nThe group is not a substitute for medical care\, psychological therapy or counselling.
