DESCRIPTION:From green spaces and forests to scenic canals\, join us for a monthly Queer Walking Group across North\, South\, East and/or West London.\n\n\nJoin us on a series of engaging walks that will take you through the heart of the city and beyond\, exploring green spaces\, forests\, and more. \nThese walks offer a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant diversity of our community\, from the lush greenery of urban parks to the serene tranquillity of woodland trails. \nEach session promises to be an enriching experience\, as we journey together and celebrate the spirit of inclusivity and solidarity that defines the LGBTQ+ community in London. \nCome along and discover new perspectives\, make new connections\, and enjoy the simple pleasure of walking in good company. \nAll are welcome to join us as we explore the wonders of London’s landscapes and celebrate the diversity that makes our community thrive. \nSunday 29th September \nBermondsey and Rotherhithe riverside walk \nSunday 27th Ocotber \nRoute to be confirmed \nSunday 24th November \nRoute to be confirmed \nSunday 22nd December \nNew river walk\, North London section \nSunday 12th January \nSouthern Epping Forest – Snaresbrook to Highams Park  \nSunday 26th January \nRoute to be confirmed  \nRoute: \nMeeting spot to be confirmed nearer the time via eventbrite email. Walk will set off a maximum of 10 minutes after event start time. \n \nAbout the organisers: \nMultiple community members will be leading different dates on the walk. SUMMARY:LGBTQ+ Community Meditation
DESCRIPTION:This guided meditation group creates a unique space for LGBTQ+ people to foster friendship and practice meditation.\n\n\nThe sessions will feature a variety of mindfulness\, loving-kindness and wisdom meditations. There’ll also be sharing & connecting\, poetry and more. Through this\, we’ll cultivate a warm awareness of our own experience and go beyond the individual to explore how we can grow and flourish as a community. There’ll also be the option to socialise in the cafe area after. \nNo prior meditation experience required. Also suitable for those who are trying to establish a regular practice within a supportive environment. \nSessions are free\, with an optional donation towards establishing a permanent LGBTQ+ community centre. Please note that we are unable to refund donations. \nDuring this session\, the cafe will be closed. \nPlease ensure that you register before attending. \nAbout the organisers \nOur community meditation is led by a group of rotating facilitators who come from various backgrounds and practices. \nAccessibility: \nThe Centre’s accessibility statement is here. \nCovid and mpox safety at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre: \nTo keep our community safe\, we ask that all visitors do not visit the centre if they are feeling any Covid-19 and/or mpox symptoms including headache\, fever\, sore throat\, consistent cough\, chills and unusual spots\, scabs or ulcers. \nYou can wear a mask if you feel more comfortable.
