DESCRIPTION:Empowering yourself to speak in front of others – from presentations\, to meetings and 1:1’s!\n\n\nThis fun\, interactive workshop blends group discussion\, practical exercises\, role play\, coaching and training – empowering you to speak in front of others under pressure. \nMembers of our LGBTQ+ community can struggle with confidence because of fear of judgement\, or belief we’re not ‘enough’. \nUnlike public speaking training that can mould you to be a certain way\, this workshop builds authentic self-expression by valuing who you are and being more you.  \nYou’ll develop skills to: \n \n\nSpeak with authority\, as an expert in your work\nDevelop your voice as a leader\nCommunicate your value\nExpress concepts and ideas simply\nBuild self-belief and resilience\nCreate opportunity for collaboration\nBe vulnerable and overcome shame\nUse personality\, humour and storytelling\nBe spontaneous and handle the unexpected\nBe comfortable in the spotlight (AKA fear of public speaking)\nDevelop skills to handle strong personalities\nUnite your team and engage more clients\n\nThe skills learnt in this session can be applied to presentations\, meetings\, and important 121s – it’s aimed at professional development! SUMMARY:Black and Brown Neurodivergent Sapphic Paint and Sip (Lesbian Social)
DESCRIPTION:The lesbian sip and paint for POC neurodivergent folk. Come down to keke\, paint and make a mate or even a date! \nThis event is for people over 18. \nCalling all Black and brown lesbians\, sapphics and those who identify with these terms\, we’re meeting up this February to paint\, make new mates and\, if you like\, maybe even a date! \nCome together to paint\, sip on drinks\, and enjoy each other’s company in a safe\, welcoming and wholesome space with ample icebreakers! \nFrom the moment attendees arrive they will be welcomed by our friendly volunteers who we refer to as our welcome angels\, who welcome them in and encourage them to have something to eat from our refreshments table or section and offer them a drink. SUMMARY:Sickle Cell Information Drop-in
DESCRIPTION:A drop-in stall to support community awareness of sickle cell\, which predominantly impacts Global Majority people.  \nHosted by the South East London Sickle Cell Improvement Programme\, this is an event to support acceptance\, inclusion and intersectional community for LGBTQ+ people. \nHealthcare settings can be cis-heteronormative in their approach to wellbeing and sometimes queer spaces aren’t always as supportive as they could be for racialised and disabled/chronically ill people. DESCRIPTION:For all LGBTQ+ performers!\n\n\nCome\, take the mic and talk/sing/dance/perform in whichever way you see fit. All performances are welcome. \nWe want to cultivate a welcoming energy where we all feel comfortable to stand in front of people and just go for it! \nIf you want to just sit and relax or don’t know for sure whether you are up for performing with an audience\, you’re also welcome to come and take a look at what’s on. Maybe you find the inspiration to take the mic next time. \nInstruments aren’t available\, but you’re welcome to bring your own. \nTime will be limited to five minutes per appearance.
