DESCRIPTION:From green spaces and forests to scenic canals\, join us for a monthly Queer Walking Group across North\, South\, East and/or West London.\n\n\nJoin us on a series of engaging walks that will take you through the heart of the city and beyond\, exploring green spaces\, forests\, and more. \nThese walks offer a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant diversity of our community\, from the lush greenery of urban parks to the serene tranquillity of woodland trails. \nEach session promises to be an enriching experience\, as we journey together and celebrate the spirit of inclusivity and solidarity that defines the LGBTQ+ community in London. \nCome along and discover new perspectives\, make new connections\, and enjoy the simple pleasure of walking in good company. \nAll are welcome to join us as we explore the wonders of London’s landscapes and celebrate the diversity that makes our community thrive. \nWatch these beautiful vids from previous Queer Walking Groups: \n \n\nAugust 2024 (special walk to Beachy Head)\nSeptember 2024\n\nSunday 2 March \nRoute to be confirmed (starting at 11am) \nSunday 6 April  \nRoute to be confirmed \nSunday 4 May \nRoute to be confirmed \nSunday 1 June \nRoute to be confirmed \nSunday 6 July \nRoute to be confirmed \nSunday 3 August \nRoute to be confirmed \nSunday 7 September \nRoute to be confirmed \nSunday 5 October \nRoute to be confirmed \nSunday 2 November \nRoute to be confirmed \nSunday 7 December \nRoute to be confirmed \nRoutes \nMeeting spot to be confirmed nearer the time via an Eventbrite email. SUMMARY:LGBTQ+ Community Meditation
DESCRIPTION:This guided meditation group creates a unique space for LGBTQ+ people to foster friendship and practice meditation.\n\n\nThe sessions will feature a variety of mindfulness\, loving-kindness and wisdom meditations. There’ll also be sharing and connecting\, poetry and more. Through this\, we’ll cultivate a warm awareness of our own experience and go beyond the individual to explore how we can grow and flourish as a community. There’ll also be the option to socialise in the cafe area after. \nNo prior meditation experience required. Also suitable for those who are trying to establish a regular practice within a supportive environment. \nSessions are free\, with an optional donation towards establishing a permanent LGBTQ+ community centre. Please note that we are unable to refund donations. \nDuring this session\, the cafe will be closed. \nPlease ensure that you register before attending. \nAbout the organisers \nCommunity Meditation is led by a group of rotating facilitators who come from various backgrounds and practices. \nAccessibility \nThe Centre’s accessibility statement is here. \nCovid safety at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre: \nTo keep our community safe\, we ask that all visitors do not visit the centre if they are feeling any Covid symptoms including headache\, fever\, sore throat\, consistent cough and chills. \nYou can wear a mask if you feel more comfortable.
