DESCRIPTION:Join Vaun from The 11th House for a Yin Yoga session at the Centre.\n\n\nYin Yoga is a therapeutic practice that focuses on long-held (3-5 minutes) seated and reclining postures aimed at promoting relaxation and enhancing flexibility\, while targeting deeper layers of fascia.  \nThis is rooted in three key principles – finding your edge\, holding poses\, and relaxing.  \nYin Yoga encourages practitioners to comfortably feel a stretch without discomfort\, followed by a period of surrender in stillness.  \nThis gentle approach not only improves vitality and overall well-being but also contributes to stress reduction and emotional balance. \nAbout the facilitator \nVaun (they/them) is a London-based wellbeing facilitator with over 10 years of experience. Vaun expertly guides individuals through transformative practices such as Yoga\, Pilates\, Sound Healing\, Kirtan\, and somatic dance across diverse environments.  \nWith a deep commitment to honouring the rich origins of these healing modalities\, Vaun skillfully adapts their teachings to resonate with the nuances of modern living\, emphasising continuous personal study and a reflective practice. \nAccessibility \nOur full accessibility statement is here. \nCovid safety at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre \nTo keep our community safe\, we ask that all visitors do not visit the centre if they are feeling any Covid symptoms including headache\, fever\, sore throat\, consistent cough and chills. \nYou can wear a mask if you feel more comfortable.
