SUMMARY:LGBTQ+ Morning Yoga
DESCRIPTION:An hour of yoga for LGBTQ+ people of all abilities\n\n\nJoin us for an hour of yoga at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre. \nYoga is held on Thursdays\, Fridays and Saturdays from 11am – 12pm. Please check eventbrite for any changes and ensure you have registered before attending. Yoga mats are provided but please bring your own if you wish. \nSessions are charged on a pay-what-you-can basis. All donations go towards supporting the ongoing work of the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre. \nPlease note that we are unable to refund donations. \nAbout the facilitators: \nMorning yoga is run by a rotating group of LGBTQ+ volunteers\, all of whom are professionally qualified yoga instructors. \nAccessibility at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre: \nThe Centre’s accessibility statement is here. \nCovid and mpox safety at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre: \nTo keep our community safe\, we ask that all visitors do not visit the centre if they are feeling symptoms including headache\, fever\, sore throat\, consistent cough\, chills and unusual spots\, scabs or ulcers. \nMasks and hand sanitiser are available for use free of charge. SUMMARY:How to Win Trans+ Housing Justice
DESCRIPTION:Organised by Trans Action for Housing Justice\, hear more from inspirational speakers and learn about plans to win change for the community.\n\n\nOn Saturday 22 March\, we will collectively remember what it means to fight for change and win. \nTrans+ people disproportionately face homelessness. 25% of trans people reportedly experience homelessness\, compared to just 0.5% of the British population. We face discrimination and violence in shelters and services when we are able to access them. This is all in the context of a wider housing crisis. \nHear from inspirational speakers and learn about our plan to win material change for our community. \nWe have free hot food\, art making and solidarity. We will not be silent\, we will stand up and fight back! \nAbout the organiser \nTrans Action for Housing Justice is a London-based grassroots group coming together to organise and build power as a community so that we can fight for a fairer housing system\, especially for those who face increased discrimination from this transphobic\, racist and ableist system. \nAfter spending the last couple years building our community\, learning and conducting community research\, we are starting to campaign against transphobic homelessness and housing services. \nAccessibility \nThe Centre’s accessibility statement is here. \nCovid safety at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre \nTo keep our community safe\, we ask that all visitors do not visit the centre if they are feeling any Covid-19 symptoms including headache\, fever\, sore throat\, consistent cough and chills. \nYou can wear a mask if you feel more comfortable.
