SUMMARY:LGBTQ+ Community Meditation
DESCRIPTION:This guided meditation group creates a unique space for LGBTQ+ people to foster friendship and practice meditation.\n\n\nThe sessions will feature a variety of mindfulness\, loving-kindness and wisdom meditations. There’ll also be sharing and connecting\, poetry and more. Through this\, we’ll cultivate a warm awareness of our own experience and go beyond the individual to explore how we can grow and flourish as a community. There’ll also be the option to socialise in the cafe area after. \nNo prior meditation experience required. Also suitable for those who are trying to establish a regular practice within a supportive environment. \nSessions are free\, with an optional donation towards establishing a permanent LGBTQ+ community centre. Flora is a lead nurse at Bridge@Southwark\, a transgender primary care service. Enjoy a relaxed sunday afternoon tea with the gay grandpersons. Get to know older and younger people\, aged 18-118! With facilitated discussions and different topics and activities each month.  \nAttend this first get-together and help shape what we do in the coming months. \nAbout the facilitators \nBrixton Umbrella Circle is an independent\, peer led\, self-help group for older (50+) LGBTQ’s. DESCRIPTION:Join Queer Global for a free storytelling workshop celebrating the heritage of LGBTQ+ people of colour and migrants. \nStorytelling has always been a lifeline for queer communities to express\, and survive. But too often\, the voices at the intersection of those identities are pushed to the margins. \nIn this workshop\, we’ll centre those stories — yours. Whether you’re writing for the first time or picking it back up\, you’re invited into a creative and supportive space to explore your voice. \nYou might write a spoken word piece\, a short story\, a letter\, or a poem. You’ll have time to reflect\, write\, and share (only if you want to) with others in the room.
