SUMMARY:LGBTQ+ Community Meditation
DESCRIPTION:This guided meditation group creates a unique space for LGBTQ+ people to foster friendship and practice meditation.\n\n\nThe sessions will feature a variety of mindfulness\, loving-kindness and wisdom meditations. There’ll also be sharing and connecting\, poetry and more. Through this\, we’ll cultivate a warm awareness of our own experience and go beyond the individual to explore how we can grow and flourish as a community. There’ll also be the option to socialise in the cafe area after. \nNo prior meditation experience required. Also suitable for those who are trying to establish a regular practice within a supportive environment. \nSessions are free\, with an optional donation towards establishing a permanent LGBTQ+ community centre. Enjoy a relaxed sunday afternoon tea with the gay grandpersons. Get to know older and younger people\, aged 18-118! With facilitated discussions and different topics and activities each month.  \nAttend this first get-together and help shape what we do in the coming months. \nAbout the facilitators \nBrixton Umbrella Circle is an independent\, peer led\, self-help group for older (50+) LGBTQ’s.
