DESCRIPTION:LGBTQ+ Life Drawing Class featuring LGBTQ+ models\, facilitated by Kai Kathleen.\n\n\nLGBTQ+ Life Drawing Classes featuring LGBTQ+ models facilitated by Kai Kathleen (they/them). This event is for people over 18. \nBasic materials will be provided (such as paper\, clipboards\, pencils\, pastels etc.) but bringing your own is encouraged. \n\nWe will begin with an intro to the space and the model\nWe will explain the prompts/techniques to try\, give you some guidance and we’ll get into the creating!\nWe will have a short break mid way and also time for sharing and socialising at the end\nThe class is open to all abilities (even if you think you can’t draw – you CAN!) and our aim is to create a brave and vulnerable space for us to connect and enjoy the creative process together. \nFor more info or any questions please message Kai at @kaikathleenn on Instagram.\n\nAbout the facilitator \nKai Kathleen (they/them) is a queer Illustrator/Artist based in Surrey\, whose vibrant and often political work focuses on their passion for LGBTQ+ empowerment and taboo-tackling subjects. \nThey use their art as activism and aim to highlight the need for inclusivity and queer representation. DESCRIPTION:SAMA Bankside is hosting a party fundraiser to raise money for the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre.\n\n\nOn Friday 1st August\, SAMA Bankside is hosting a Pride Fundraiser in collaboration with our neighbours the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre — a sober\, intersectional and intergenerational space for all LGBTQ+ people in London. \nThe fundraiser is an opportunity to party alongside like-minded people for a great cause. \nCome and dance to some amazing records played by local artists through a beautiful sound system and help us keep the spirit of Pride alive. Vinyls will be spinning from 8pm! \nYour attendance offers a massive contribution towards the Centre who are funded by community donations. \nPlease note the venue serves alcohol. \nAbout the organiser \nSAMA Bankside is an award-winning bar and event space set in a railway arch beside Blackfriars Bridge. Hosting a variety of events\, workshops\, live DJs\, plus delicious seasonal cocktails\, SAMA offers a vibrant and friendly atmosphere for all! \nAccessibility \nToilets are gender-neutral.
