DESCRIPTION:Join Southwark Wellbeing Hub for an informal and warm conversation around mental health and wellbeing services for LGBTQ+ people over 50s.\n\n\nAs part of our special programme around the International Day of Older Persons (celebrated earlier in the month)\, we invite Robert Panico and Felix Quinn from the Southwark Wellbeing Hub for an informal\, relaxed and warm conversation around mental health and wellbeing services available for LGBTQ+ people aged 50 and above. \nThey will share relevant information about accessing emotional and psychological support\, as well as present practical ways to manage mental health – all with the sensitivity and intersectionality of LGBTQ+ realities\, and the unique experiences of older community members. \nThis isn’t a formal lecture\, but rather an accessible discussion with room for questions\, exchanges and listening. \nAbout the organiser \nThe London LGBTQ+ Community Centre is a sober\, intersectional community centre and café where all LGBTQ+ people are welcome\, supported\, can build connections and can flourish. DESCRIPTION:Titan is QTPOC barber bringing his services to the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre every two weeks.  \nHe has 8 years of experience in shops and freelancing with a wealth of knowledge working with all hair types. They aim to create a welcoming and safe environment for people within the LGBTQ+ community. \nServices vary from tidy-ups to complete re-styles at a lower rate than most London barber shops. \nPrices list: \n\nBeard trim (30 mins) – £12\nPatterns (30 mins) – £12\nUndercut (30 mins) – £12\nClipper cut (45 mins) – £18\nScissor cut (45 mins) – £18\nFade (45 mins) – £22\nMullet (1hr) – 25\nRestyle (long to short\, 1hr) – £30\nPay it forward* – £5/£10\n\n*Free haircuts are available for people who can’t afford them\, no questions asked. Just pick up a free trim card. \nNo booking required – just drop-in during 1:30-7:30pm! \nThe drop-in is open until 7:30pm. Last appointments will be available until 7pm\, as the Centre closes at 8pm. DESCRIPTION:BYOB (bring your own pumpkin) to this queer afternoon of spooky squash carving!\n\n\nIt’s Halloween! Come and carve a pumpkin\, chat spooky films\, and make new friends at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre. \nPlease bring: \n\nA pumpkin (you can also select the pumpkin ticket option if you’re not able to bring your own)\nCarving tools if you have them\nSpoons if you have any spare\nSnacks if you want them\n\nThere will be: \n\nSharpies – to draw your designs with\nBowls – for all the pumpkin guts you scoop out\nNewspaper – to protect the LGBTQ+ Centre tables\nSome spoons – for people who don’t have their own\nSome carving tools – for people who don’t have their own\nCloths – to wipe down after we’re done\nTea – to drink if you want to\n\nThe organisers are not liable if injury occurs during this event. First Aid is on site but take care when using carving tools and use them only at your own risk! \nThank you to Hattie and Ally\, the wonderful hosts from the 2022 and 2023\, for previously running this event. DESCRIPTION:Queer Kizomba is back for another run in London! \nJoin The Blacker the Berry Project for a new 6-week journey led by the one and only Tsunami Tânia throughout 2025 UK Black History Month. This progressive course offers a welcoming space to explore the beautiful rhythms and sensual movements of Kizomba\, reimagined through a queer and inclusive lens. \nEach week\, you will learn the fundamentals of this Angolan dance style and music genre\, from its signature steps to its cultural significance\, all while embracing creativity\, authentic self-expression\, and community. \nThis course is designed to build confidence and skill progressively\, and open to all levels and everyone.
