SUMMARY:Muay Thai for Self-Defence
DESCRIPTION:Weekly Muay Thai Self-Defence classes focused on building confidence\, communication\, and empowerment in a supportive\, judgement-free space.\n\n\nKarina’s Muay Thai classes focus on building confidence\, communication\, and empowerment in a supportive\, judgement-free space. Students are encouraged to train at their own pace while building physical strength\, fitness\, and practical skills. \nThrough interactive drills\, partner work\, and teamwork\, students develop coordination\, resilience\, and confidence—whether their goal is fitness\, self-defence\, or training to compete in the long term. \nThese sessions are funded by the London Marathon Foundation. \nFriday 18 September and Friday 25 September sessions will be going ahead as planned. We apologise for the confusion caused – we cancelled these dates in error. They are available to rebook on this page. \nAbout the facilitator \nBorn in Hong Kong\, Karina began her martial arts journey at 4 years old. With over 18 years of training and competition across multiple countries\, she brings a versatile background in Muay Thai\, Taekwondo\, K1\, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Her adaptable style blends technical skill\, fitness\, and fun. \nKarina’s classes are a safe\, welcoming space with no judgement – only encouragement. DESCRIPTION:An hour of yoga for LGBTQ+ people of all abilities\n\n\nJoin us for an hour of yoga at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre. \nYoga is held on an ad-hoc basis on Fridays and Saturdays from 11am – 12pm. Please check Eventbrite for any changes and ensure you have registered before attending. Yoga mats are provided but please bring your own if you wish. \nSessions are charged on a pay-what-you-can basis. DESCRIPTION:Meet your future bi+ besties in this validating\, empowering space for bi+ people to come together\, reflect and share experiences.\n\n\nHappy Bisexual Visibility Month! \nThis September\, join Florence from Bi Bitch in this validating\, empowering space for bi+ people to come together\, reflect and share experiences — and meet your fabulous future bi besties via speed friending\, then carry on the celebrations until late! \nBecause unlocking the power of community is what can really help us say goodbye to biphobia and reclaim our bisexual joy… \nWho? \nAnyone who identifies as bi+ (inclusive of trans and non-binary people) and wants to grow their bi-specific community. \nWhy? \nThere is an invisible health crisis impacting bi+ people: we often report not feeling valid or welcome in other queer spaces and beyond — and despite making up around half of the LGBTQ+ community\, there is a huge lack of bi-specific spaces and support. \nThe impact of this is significant: we’ve been found to have some of the highest rates of anxiety\, chronic illness\, addiction and more. So\, it can make a huge difference to meet other bi+ pals who *just get it*.
