SUMMARY:Black and Brown Neurodivergent Sapphic Paint and Sip (Lesbian Social)
DESCRIPTION:The lesbian sip and paint for POC neurodivergent folk. Come down to keke\, paint and make a mate or even a date! \nThis event is for people over 18. \nCalling all Black and brown lesbians\, sapphics and those who identify with these terms\, we’re meeting up this February to paint\, make new mates and\, if you like\, maybe even a date! \nCome together to paint\, sip on drinks\, and enjoy each other’s company in a safe\, welcoming and wholesome space with ample icebreakers! \nFrom the moment attendees arrive they will be welcomed by our friendly volunteers who we refer to as our welcome angels\, who welcome them in and encourage them to have something to eat from our refreshments table or section and offer them a drink. The food and drinks will be managed by one to two of our adult volunteers at all times. \nThey then can enjoy sitting at a table with a canvas on an easel and easy to clean acrylic paints with the below itinerary of fun social icebreaker games\, painting a wholesome and rewarding challenge and mingling with fellow POC neurodivergent queer people. \nFor the most part attendees will be seated\, and breaks will be scheduled into the event. \n\nFood served\nNon-alcoholic drinks will also be served\n\nPlease email Akua at admin@neuronoir.net for any allergy or accessibility adjustments needed for the event. \nAccessibility \nThe Centre’s accessibility statement is here. \nCovid safety at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre \nTo keep our community safe\, we ask that all visitors do not visit the Centre if they are feeling any Covid-19 symptoms including headache\, fever\, sore throat\, consistent cough\, and chills. \nFor current information on Covid please visit the NHS website. \nDonate to the Centre \nWe rely on donations to ensure that the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre can keep its doors open for years to come. \nTo donate or become a Friend of the Centre\, visit our website.

SUMMARY:Mask Off: Misunderstood\, Misdiagnosed and Missed – A Zine Workshop
DESCRIPTION:A zine workshop for Black and neurodiverse women and non-binary people.\n\n\nJoin the Black & Neurodiverse crew on a fun zine-making activity all afternoon long during our special Queer Black Women and Non-Binary day in light of the UK Black History Month. \nThe collective is currently developing its first web zine\, highlighting experiences of Black and neurodiverse folks in any form they wish. \nMaterials will be provided or you can also bring your own! \nAbout the facilitator: \nNdidi-Amaka Moemeke (she/they) is the founder of Black and Neurodiverse\, an initiative dedicated to creating safe\, inclusive spaces for Black and brown neurodivergent individuals. \nDiagnosed with ADHD in January 2023 after 27 years of living undiagnosed\, Ndidi-Amaka was motivated to start this community after discovering the term “neurodivergent” for the first time last year\, experiencing challenges in obtaining an ADHD referral through the NHS. \nUnderstanding that many Black and brown people face similar challenges\, Ndidi-Amaka aims to foster environments that offer support and connection beyond the confines of home. \nAccessibility: \nThe Centre’s accessibility statement is here. \nIf you have any access requirements for this event\, get in touch with us at hello@londonlgbtqcentre.org. \nCovid and mpox safety at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre: \nTo keep our community safe\, we ask that all visitors do not visit the centre if they are feeling unwell including headache\, fever\, sore throat\, consistent cough\, chills and unusual spots\, scabs or ulcers. \nYou can wear a mask if you feel more comfortable.
