DESCRIPTION:An hour of yoga for LGBTQ+ people of all abilities\n\n\nJoin us for an hour of yoga at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre. \nYoga is held on Thursdays\, Fridays and Saturdays from 11am – 12pm. DESCRIPTION:In this healing circle\, connect with fellow LGBTQ+ folks with a guided meditation exercises\, group discussion and more.\n\n\nIn this healing circle\, connect with fellow LGBTQ+ people through guided meditation exercises\, group discussion and modes of play\, in a warm\, inclusive and supportive environment. \n If you feel like you need to ground yourself surrounded by like-minded individuals in a low-pressure\, open format\, please come along!  \nAll exercises will be optional and can be adapted to any accessibility needs. \nThere will be comfort breaks between each exercise. People are not required to stand for any of the exercises\, but may do so for the Play portion which will be 20 minutes. No handouts will be used. \nWe will be breaking into groups for the Play portion\, but otherwise the session will be all together! \nWhat to expect: \n1. Introduction \n2. Grounding through breathwork \n3. Group discussion on the theme of grounding \n4. Free refreshments. \nAttend this first get-together and help shape what we do in the coming months. \nAbout the facilitators \nBrixton Umbrella Circle is an independent\, peer led\, self-help group for older (50+) LGBTQ’s. To end the course\, The Blacker The Berry Project is curating an evening of activities to celebrate the sounds\, music and dance that shape Black Luso and Francophone identity and culture. \nHere’s what to expect: \nFirst Floor \n7 – 10 | The Chill Corner where there will be board games\, reading materials and recordings of people sharing on their relationship to the music and culture. \n7:30 – 8:30 | A Gwo Ka drumming workshop by Zil’oka\, where attendees will be able to immerse themselves in\, and learn how to play the traditional sounds of the island of Guadeloupe. \n9 – 10 | Djumbai – a reflection and reasoning space where attendees are prompted to gather & share their stories in an interactive experience\, hosted by Kayla Mae. \n10 – 11 | DJ set by DJ Manito.
