With branches in Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds, African Rainbow Family is a non-profit organisation that supports LGBTIQ+ people of African heritage and LGBTIQ+ refugees and asylum seekers fleeing persecution from their countries of origin. Established in 2014 in reaction to African nations’ wake of anti-gay laws, they focus on community empowerment and offer many services ranging from financial help to guidance as well as housing support or training.
