SUMMARY:Hidayah's Book Club: Homosexual Intifada
DESCRIPTION:Hidayah’s Book Club: Homosexual Intifada — A Queer Palestinian Anthology \nThis event is open to queer Muslims and allies within the Hidayah community. It’s designed to be a supportive\, inclusive space for thoughtful conversation and connection. \nHidayah is hosting a special book club session exploring Homosexual Intifada: A Queer Palestinian Anthology by Hannah Moushabeck and George Abraham — a powerful collection of essays\, poetry\, and personal reflections centring queer Palestinian voices. This anthology brings together stories of resistance\, identity\, joy\, and survival\, offering a deeply moving look at queerness\, homeland\, and liberation. \nThis book club is a chance for LGBTQI+ Muslims and allies to come together in a gentle\, reflective space to discuss the themes of the anthology\, share perspectives\, and connect with others in our community. Whether you’ve finished the book or are just beginning\, you’re warmly welcome. \nTickets start at £8 (excluding service fee)\, with the option to add a donation to support Hidayah’s ongoing work. \nPlease note\, Hidayah has a limited allocation of 15 tickets\, offered on a first‑come\, first‑served basis. For those who are experiencing financial difficulty\, please email events@hidayahlgbt.co.uk. \nCovid safety at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre \nTo keep our community safe\, we ask that all visitors do not visit the centre if they are feeling any Covid symptoms including a headache\, fever\, sore throat\, consistent cough or chills. \nYou can wear a mask if you feel more comfortable. We also have masks and hand sanitiser available at the Centre. \nFor current information on Covid please visit the NHS website. \nDonate to the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre \nWe rely on donations to ensure that the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre can keep its doors open for years to come. \nTo donate or become a Friend of the Centre\, visit our website.
