This week we’ve witnessed an overwhelming amount of attacks on the rights of trans and queer people – from the NHS’ guidelines to stop monitoring trans children’s blood tests, to the UK Supreme Court’s transphobic ruling to define women and lesbians by biological sex.
We want to reaffirm that we will always stand alongside our trans, non-binary and intersex siblings and the wider queer community. No matter what laws try to erase us, we aren’t going anywhere.
If you want to be amongst community, the Centre is open this week. Our frontline staff – who are trans – would love to be in solidarity with you.
We also host regular Trans Admin and Trans Self-Care meetups if you want to join a trans-specific space in the coming weeks.
Below you’ll find a list of helpline services and articles if you need them right now.
Get in touch at hello@londonlgbtqcentre.org if you have any suggestions to include or are looking for further signposting support.
