Mars Oliver (@spontaneous_objects) is a digital artist based in Bristol who explores sexuality, gender and consumerism throughout their practice. They have spent the last four years working on a project that removes items and scenes from their context, giving every object the same treatment by placing them on a white background in the hope of challenging society’s value systems. By challenging those ideologies throughout their work, any objects associated with a particular gender also come under scrutiny. Recently, they have started creating object-based narratives that investigate and dismantle societal issues.
