How to Win Trans+ Housing Justice
March 22 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Free
On Saturday 22 March, we will collectively remember what it means to fight for change and win.
Trans+ people disproportionately face homelessness. 25% of trans people reportedly experience homelessness, compared to just 0.5% of the British population. We face discrimination and violence in shelters and services when we are able to access them. This is all in the context of a wider housing crisis.
Hear from inspirational speakers and learn about our plan to win material change for our community.
We have free hot food, art making and solidarity. We will not be silent, we will stand up and fight back!
About the organiser
Trans Action for Housing Justice is a London-based grassroots group coming together to organise and build power as a community so that we can fight for a fairer housing system, especially for those who face increased discrimination from this transphobic, racist and ableist system.
After spending the last couple years building our community, learning and conducting community research, we are starting to campaign against transphobic homelessness and housing services.
