Join us for Intimacy as Resistance, an exhibition celebrating the work of Queer South Asian artists exploring themes of intimacy, connection, and community.

Expect an evening of art, conversation, and a warm, welcoming space, featuring:

  • Artworks by Queer South Asian artists
  • Talks and discussions on intimacy, identity, and resistance
  • Henna art for creative self-expression
  • Desi snacks & refreshments
  • Soft music, cozy vibes, and a space to connect

About the facilitator

Vivika Chugh (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and art director, as well as the Communications and Marketing Assistant at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre.

Her work explores themes of community, identity, and intimacy through a queer and feminist lens. Passionate about art and visual storytelling, she seeks to challenge traditional narratives and spark meaningful conversations. She is currently studying Design for Art Direction at University of the Arts London.

Vivika is dedicated to amplifying the voices of queer people of colour and creating inclusive, intersectional spaces where everyone in the LGBTQIA+ community feels welcome and valued.

Covid safety at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre

To keep our community safe, we ask that all visitors do not visit the centre if they are feeling any Covid-19 symptoms including headache, fever, sore throat, consistent cough and chills.

You can wear a mask if you feel more comfortable. We also have masks and hand sanitiser available at the Centre.
