Queer Global Mixer: LGBTQ+ Storytelling Workshop
Join Queer Global for a free storytelling workshop celebrating the heritage of LGBTQ+ people of colour and migrants.
Storytelling has always been a lifeline for queer communities to express, and survive. But too often, the voices at the intersection of those identities are pushed to the margins.
In this workshop, we’ll centre those stories — yours. Whether you’re writing for the first time or picking it back up, you’re invited into a creative and supportive space to explore your voice.
You might write a spoken word piece, a short story, a letter, or a poem. You’ll have time to reflect, write, and share (only if you want to) with others in the room. All materials are provided — just bring yourself.
- Workshop led by Ibukun Olumoroti
- Organised by Queer Global, this event creates space for participants with pride and power
- Free to attend
- No writing experience needed
- Open to LGBTQ+ Global majority which includes people of colour, migrants, asylum seekers and refugees
This event is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to National Lottery players.
