Queer Global Mixer: LGBTQ+ Storytelling Workshop

Join Queer Global for a free storytelling workshop celebrating the heritage of LGBTQ+ people of colour and migrants.

Storytelling has always been a lifeline for queer communities to express, and survive. But too often, the voices at the intersection of those identities are pushed to the margins.

In this workshop, we’ll centre those stories — yours. Whether you’re writing for the first time or picking it back up, you’re invited into a creative and supportive space to explore your voice.

You might write a spoken word piece, a short story, a letter, or a poem. You’ll have time to reflect, write, and share (only if you want to) with others in the room. All materials are provided — just bring yourself.

• Open to LGBTQ+ Global majority which includes people of colour, migrants, asylum seekers and refugees

Covid safety at the Centre

To keep our community safe, we ask that all visitors do not visit the Centre if they are feeling any Covid-19 symptoms including headache, fever, sore throat, consistent cough and chills.

You can wear a mask if you feel more comfortable. We also have masks and hand sanitiser available at the Centre.
