BLACK ANGELS

Black beauty isn’t just what the media portrays,
Black beauty isn’t just what society spoon feeds us,
They tell us its only the night sky,
neglecting to tell us about the constellations of stars.
Black beauty is a vision with a path our ancestors paved.
We are the muse, the canvas and the final destination for art.
Black angels are among us, the sons and daughters of rulers and kings.
