Role description
The London LGBTQ+ Community Centre are looking for a group of volunteers to help create content for our digital channels. These volunteers will work alongside our Communications Manager to tell the stories of our community on Instagram, TikTok, our emails and website.
We’re developing new content formats that will enable us to show more of what happens at the Centre and our fabulous community.
Your experience could be in photography, filming TikTok’s or Instagram Reels, writing and designing content – we want to hear from you!
If you don’t have any professional experience yet, that’s okay too. We just want people who are passionate about the work we do, love creating content in their chosen medium, and are excited about telling the stories of LGBTQ+ communities.
Training will be provided, though basic knowledge of your area of content creation is required.
This role is subject to a DBS check and is only open to people who identify as being LGBTQ+.

Role requirements
Depending on where your experience lies and the support that’s required, tasks could include:
- Researching stories to include in our new content themes.
- Designing graphics for new content themes in Canva
- Photographing the community and the space for our social media, website, and emails (i.e. individual portraits, group shots, event photography).
- Filming and/or interviewing the community and people who use the Centre (i.e. vox pops, group shots, event filming, Instagram Live).
Volunteers should be able to commit to 4 hours monthly.
