Role description
Our Information and Resources Volunteers will focus on expanding our advice and referrals service by connecting different resources and groups with the Centre, and building a bank of relevant resources for the LGBTQ+ community.
This role can be home-based or based at the Centre and will work closely with our Outreach Manager. Hours are flexible and can be determined by the volunteer(s).
Role requirements
- The ability to research relevant information, find useful resources and collect data in a useful manner
- Basic computer skills, including use of spreadsheets and online forms
- An understanding of the needs of the LGBTQ+ community, and insight into the issues facing many LGBTQ+ people
- The ability to work on self-led tasks and work autonomously towards pre-determined goals
Other details
This role has no fixed hours. Workload and hours are flexible to the needs of each volunteer.
This role may involve working with topics which some may find triggering. In each case we will work with volunteers to establish appropriate boundaries and give space to avoid difficult subjects.
