We are an award-winning project launched by a team of volunteers in 2017.
Our mission is to provide London with a sober, intersectional, intergenerational, community centre and café where all LGBTQ+ people feel welcome and supported, can build connections, and flourish. Our vision is for a more connected, belonging and thriving LGBTQ+ community in London.
We are looking for an experienced Research Lead who is passionate about understanding impact and community engagement. This role will lead our next piece of research on the Centre’s impact which will be key to continue raising funds and securing the longevity of the project.
Role description
Title: Research Lead
Contract: 16 hours per week (2 days)
Location: Remote and at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre
Salary: £30,000 (full-time pa; pro-rata)
Length of employment: 1 year contract
Accountable to: General Manager and Board of Trustees
Key contacts: General Manager
Role purpose and core accountabilities
- Collect and review feedback from visitors, facilitators and partners
- Carry out focus groups
- Carry out 1:1 interviews
- Analyse collected data to understand the Centre’s impact on the community with a particular focus on wellbeing
- Produce a research report with all the findings – identifying trends, success stories and challenges, drawing conclusions and recommendations

- Proved experience carrying out similar research projects
- Someone with a deep understanding of impact reporting with a focus on wellbeing
- Someone who understands community and has experience of diverse LGBTQ+ communities
- Someone who can work self-sufficiently and in a team environment
