Since opening the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre in 2021, we’ve hosted three Spring Markets and welcomed hundreds of people through the doors to each one!
We’re always so overjoyed to hear how much you love the Spring Market (plus our Winter one in December!). It’s such a privilege to host independent LGBTQ+ artists and creators at the markets and to see how many of you turn up to support!
We know how important this space is for sellers and the community (and we’ve received a few questions asking about this year’s market, too). That’s why we wanted to share this update with you.
As we welcome Jesualdo, our Events and Outreach Lead, back from his 6-month sabbatical and recruit a Marketing Coordinator, we are at a limited capacity to organise a Spring Market at the time we usually would. Instead, we’ll be hosting our first Summer Market on Saturday 22 August from 1-7pm!
We’re planning to share details on how you can apply for a stall in June, so keep tabs on our website, newsletter and socials for more info.
In the meantime, check out these London-based LGBTQ+ markets happening (including inQ! Comic Festival at the Centre).
Upcoming community markets
- Bowes Park Pride is bringing queer joy to North London for its 2nd year on Sunday 5 July. They are kindly offering x2 free stall spots for community members. If you’d like to put yourself forward for a spot, email hello@bowesparkpride.org.uk
- inQ! Comic Festival returns to the Centre for their first two-day event on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September. They’re accepting applications for comic artists until Sunday 3 May
