We’re aware of a recent data security incident reported by Beacon CRM, the platform we use to manage information from donors, supporters, email subscribers and partners.
We do not store any information from Eventbrite, feedback forms, or people visiting the Centre, on Beacon. We also do not store payment card or bank account details on Beacon. We only retain records of donations, including donation amounts and dates on Beacon.
If you have booked a ticket on Eventbrite or any other event platforms, this information will not be stored on Beacon.
Beacon is a system used by many organisations and the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre isn’t the only charity impacted by this issue.
At this time, we’re not aware of any misuse of personal information. Protecting your data is of the utmost importance to us. We will continue to monitor this situation and are in contact with Beacon.
There’s an ongoing investigation by Beacon and an external cybersecurity team reviewing the situation.
If there is any information folks need to know or further action to take, we will contact you promptly and directly.
We suggest being aware of any suspicious communications, like emails, calls, or texts.
