Note: the winter clothing packages aren’t available yet, as we’re making them up with extra donations. Read on to find out how you can donate clothing.
We’ve received funding from Southwark Council’s Warm Spaces grant to support LGBTQ+ people this winter.
As part of this grant, we’re making 30 free winter clothing packages for folks to collect at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre.
The packages will include essential warm items including a hat, scarf, gloves and socks.
How to donate clothes
We are looking for either second hand or new hats, scarves and gloves to complete our winter clothing packages. If you have any of these items to donate, pop into the Centre!
How to collect a package
Once the packages are ready, we will update this page to let you know how you can pick one up.
You can visit us from Wednesday to Sunday at the following times:
- Wed: 11am-6pm
- Thu: 12-8pm
- Fri: 12-8pm
- Sat: 12-8pm
- Sun: 1-8pm
Double check our events calendar for details on the specific day you’re planning to visit, as we have private events where the Centre is closed to the public.
As part of this grant, we are also able to provide:
- Free drinks for 50+ meetups
- Portable radiators (x3)
- Installing two heavy custom curtains and curtain poles
- Draught seal for doors
- 60 thick pairs of socks for clothing packages
- Cloth bags for winter clothing packages (x30)
- Hot water bottles (x12) and blankets (x4)
Support the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre
We’re a small charity run by and for LGBTQ+ people and rely on the kindness of community donations and grants to keep our doors open.
If you’d like to support on a more regular basis, become a Friend of the Centre. You can also support us with a one-off donation. We’re so grateful for any amount you’re able to chip in.
