Join the team: Trustee

  • Roles

We are looking to recruit additional Trustees to help us achieve our vision for a more connected, belonging and thriving LGBTQ+ community in London.

Having secured both a physical space for the next four and half years, as well as funding for the next two, we are at an exciting moment in our journey when we can look beyond today.

With all the learnings from the last two years open and a new and bigger team, it is time to be strategic and shield the charity for the future. We are here to stay and are being intentional in creating a Board that will contribute to it.

Below is a list of the specific skills we’d love to add to the Board.

At the same time, we are very open to hearing from those who are interested in being a Trustee and may bring an expertise not listed below:

  • Treasurer
  • Legal
  • Governance

  • Facilities and building management
  • Public sector / government / local authority

  • Give around four hours per month of their time
  • Join four Trustee Board meetings per year (two online, two in person), generally on Wednesdays from 4 to 5.30pm. Travel expenses for those coming out of London will be covered (we are committed to making these roles accessible – which might include more digital attendance, flexibility, and reasonable adjustments which can be shared at the application stage)
  • Join four sub-committee meetings

As a Trustee you will have:

  • Induction and training
  • Exposure to strategic planning and thinking as well as hands-on experience of being part of a Board
  • The opportunity to be part of the organisation’s journey at a very exciting moment
  • An opportunity to influence & collectively-lead an organisation
  • Develop new skills
  • Opportunities to network with senior professionals
  • The chance to contribute to helping all LGBTQ+ individuals in London to live happier, healthier lives and have a stronger sense of belonging
